At La Brisa Ice Cream, the safety of our products is of the upmost importance, and is a daily operational priority. To ensure our ability to provide safe, wholesome foods for families throughout the US, we use a multitude of food safety processes and programs throughout our plant.
La Brisa Ice Cream operation follows HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point] principles and has developed programs and procedures following that systems. These systems are designed to address all reasonably occurring physical, chemical and biological hazards·
Everyone from the President to our most recently hired employee is dedicated to food safety. As a company we recognize our employees are the most critical part of our food safety program, really more critical than any other thing. Therefore our employees are trained in pursuing the latest food safety information available. We train through various mediums including training videos, meetings with team leaders, and regulatory reviews and meetings
La Brisa Ice Cream has operated since 1982 for over 32 years, earning a reputation for providing wholesome, high quality foods while servicing some of the largest retailers in the country. In the last few years, we have focused our efforts with a goal of exceeding current food safety standards. It is our belief we can maintain these customers and gain more by having the Silliker Food Safety GMP certification.
La Brisa Ice Cream verifies the food safety activities by a quarterly management review of all food safety documents meetings action items completed and training sessions held during the quarter.
